All paws on deck! Games Incubator invites players – and their furry companions – to dive into a truly heartwarming sim experience. Animal Shelter 2 is now available on PC via Steam, and this time you don’t have to manage it alone – team up in co-op with up to five other players!
Following the great reception of the first game (87% pawsitive reviews on Steam), Games Incubator is back with a sequel to their animal shelter sim. Animal Shelter 2 builds upon the solid foundations of the original and introduces a multitude of new features – most notably, the six-player co-op mode!

While some things never change – like adorable animals still being in need of your help – Animal Shelter 2 goes further in nearly every aspect. You can still build and decorate your shelter, set up enclosures, and provide everything your animals need… Although this time you’ll have to manage your facility throughout all seasons! Time of day and weather conditions matter – a leaky roof or lack of insulation in the kennel might not be an issue in the summer, but during winter these’ll put your animals at risk or turn away potential adopters.
Luckily, you won’t have to run the shelter alone! In addition to online co-op, the game introduces staff and volunteer management, making HR skills essential – especially as the number of animals under your care increases with each new rescue mission.
High definition cuteness – Come up close, pet your animals, and discover their unique fur patterns thanks to upgraded graphics. Found your favorite furry friend? Now you can adopt them!
Your very own shelter – Build, decorate, and create a cozy home for every animal in need. But don’t forget to maintain your facility year-round – snow, heatwaves, and rainy seasons will bring new challenges.
All the sweetness, all the fun – While your animals need care, they also want to play! Take your pets for walks, play fetch, or make a pet fashion show with adorable outfits.
Online co-op mode – Invite your friends to help run the shelter! Share responsibilities, assign tasks, and care for animals together – now with up to six-player co-op.
New duties, new adventures – Support rescue missions, explore new locations outside the shelter grounds, and respond to emergency calls. Every intervention could mean a new animal joining your growing family.
The developers of Animal Shelter 2 are actively engaged in supporting animal welfare – both in and beyond the game world. The team has been organising charity fundraisers, allowing the game's community to nominate shelters they believe are most in need of support. Thanks to the combined efforts of Games Incubator and the players, the facilities received over $30,000!
What’s more, in 2024, the developers partnered with WWF Poland, resulting in the launch of a dedicated Animal Week event on Steam. This year, the initiative returned in an expanded format – as Animal Fest, a full-scale festival organized directly by Steam.
